rhetorical devices and websites

http://www.bio-bak.nl/

This website truly stands out to me because of the animation used in it, as well as the dynamic text and the interactivity. I would love to make something inspired by this, because I love the movement around the whole site. It also has a lot of humor in it, and I find that very effective to present a point. The way you navigate through the site is very entertaining, and it engages the viewer.

With this site, I like the interactivity of it, as well as the artistic direction behind it. The use of the simple animation of her character is witty and fun. The whole site is enjoyable because of the use of color and the layout of it.

As for my use of rhetorical devices, I want to use Procatalepsis, by anticipating an objection and answering it, permits an argument to continue moving forward while taking into account points or reasons opposing either the train of thought or its final conclusions. I also want to use Rhetorical questions, and I want to guilt the reader into supporting my views. We as a people are so self concerned with our own situations that I think by making them feel bad, more people will want to support my view.

Proposal

I wish to present something that brings awareness to the fact that people joke about travesties going on in our world today.  People no longer are serious when they say that,"there are starving children in ethiopia that would want that food." etc.  I want to make an interactive presentation that touches on this subject, and bring our fault to light.

To present my idea, I want to use a lot of type, while using some animation and video.

Second Inspirational Personal Website.

http://gregcrossley.com/

I find this man's website very likable. Mainly because it is very simple and easy to use. Once on his home page, you are able to see all of his pieces. it is a very well put together portfolio. Also, the resume for him is made readily accessible.

I mainly find this website inspirational because of the works contained in it. I wanted to be able to some day place such well done work. That, as well as the design of the website. I think it is really well done, and I enjoy browsing on it.

First Inspirational Website.

http://www.peter-pearson.com/

My first inspirational website is found with this designer. Upon entering the site, one is greeted with a peaceful and relaxing home page. Bearing Peter Parson's name, as well as a little humor, including the word gasp on the page. You were prompted to enter the site, and it led to a pleasurable experience, being able to glide through all of his accomplishments in the design world, and also his own history.

I liked how it was interactive, and I think he is inspirational to me because of that. I feel like he was able to present his work and life effectively because of it.

hazaa for coming back!

So, after quite a long time of being MIA from my postings, I finally have an actual boost to keep on blogging! My multimedia computer graphics class is required to keep a creative journal about our designs, as well as other things that inspire us in the design world. Well, good thing that "For the Love of Design" actually exists already! Since this is the original reason for me even starting a blog, this will make me want to continue my search for knowledge and love of design.

Stay tuned!
